Heavy Vehicle Body Repairer / Truck & Trailer Body Builder

Penrith, NSW | Full-time | $40–$50 per hour | Sponsorship available

Nepean Truck and Trailer (NTT) is seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Body Repairer / Body Builder to join our team in Penrith.

​

This hands-on role involves the fabrication, modification and repair of truck and trailer bodies to meet customer requirements and comply with Australian Design Rules (ADRs) and relevant industry standards. You’ll work with steel and aluminium across a range of commercial vehicle applications, including tippers, flatbeds, curtain-siders, refrigerated bodies and specialised trailers. The role may also involve supporting other areas of the workshop, including trailer servicing, parts assembly and tarp fitting.

What you’ll be doing

  • Repairing and replacing truck and trailer components

  • Welding steel and aluminium fixtures and sub-assemblies

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing trucks and trailers alongside our Heavy Vehicle Mechanics

  • Maintaining a safe and tidy workshop and following WHS procedures Heavy Vehicle Body Repairer

What we’re looking for

  • Certificate III in Body Building / Welding

  • Minimum 3 years' vehicle body building experience

  • Experience working with heavy diesel vehicles or equipment

  • Current full driver's licence

  • Familiarity with ADR compliance and heavy vehicle regulations

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and a safety-focused approach

  • HR or HC licence advantageous

  • Forklift licence desirable Heavy Vehicle Body Repairer

Employment details

Full-time position based at 206 Andrews Road, Penrith NSW 2750. Pay is $40.00–$50.00 per hour, with remuneration negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on workload. Heavy Vehicle Body Repairer.
